As we complete our “CALLED” series this week, Pastor Josh Scott reminds us that while we have many excuses for not living out our call, none of them are more than God’s power in our lives. People throughout the years have used excuses, but our fears and inadequacies try to hinder us. But the point of the calling is so that God can do a work through us that we cannot do alone. God wants to free us from the life we try to create, so that he can call us into the life he dreams for us.

In the third week of our “CALLED” series, Pastor Josh Scott encourages to to take that next step in our calling. We know that we are called to Someone, not just something, and that we discover this calling through the practice of spiritual disciplines. Now, we must find the opportunity that we feel that deep sense of purpose in. To find what brings us joy, and what meets the needs of the world, and find what we’re called to do.
Learning to Count

If we know we’re called to our primary identity as a child of God, and we know that we are called to do certain things for Him, how do we get from one identity to the other? That’s the question that Pastor Josh Scott tackles in the second week of our “CALLED” series. As believers, we often want to know God’s will, but can’t seem to make the connection from knowing Him, and knowing His desires for our lives. But maybe it is simply pursuing spiritual disciplines more that brings us to that point? Josh encourages us to learn to count beyond “2″, in order to see that there is more to God’s plan for us than where we are right now.
