Josh began vocational ministry in 1997, and on staff at MCC since March 2005. Shortly after moving to Morgantown he married Carla, and they have an amazing son, Cohen. Currently, Josh is pursuing an M.Div. from Asbury Seminary, and he also has a B.A. from Eastern Kentucky University. Some of his favorite things are: spending time with his family, watching The Office, drinking good coffee, and cheering for the West Virginia University football team. Tommy Hines is a native of Butler County, but also lived in Louisiana, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and eventually Florida where he graduated from high school.  He attended Western Kentucky University where he received his undergraduate degree in music theory and his graduate degree in historic preservation.  He began directing preservation efforts at an historic site in Logan County in 1986 and continues that work today. His interests include writing, structural and landscape restoration, regional history, and film.  Tommy has been an Associate Pastor, leading worship at Morgantown Community Church since 2000.

Kim has been married for 23 years to her high school sweetheart Johnny Embry. They have a delightful daughter Courtney who is 12 years old and who is beautifully unique in her own way. She adores spending time with her family and friends. She absolutely loves the great outdoors, including: ATV riding, camping, fishing, boating, relaxing on the beach and helping with the family lawn care business. Her most desired food is chocolate. Yes, you can make a meal out of chocolate!

After graduating from Eastern Kentucky University in 2005, John and his wife Hillary moved to Morgantown, where he filled a teaching position at our local high school. In 2008, John was hired on as a church staff member. John and Hillary continued to serve with stuCo, our student community @ MCC until February of 2011. At that point, John transitioned into his current role as Media & Communications Pastor.  They have two children, Faith, who was born in April 2009, and Zoe, born in October of 2010. John says he loves to spend time with his family, play video games, watch football (GO COWBOYS!) and tinker with anything “tech” related.

Adra is a native of Butler County. She and her husband first started their relationship at MCC, when they later married. She and Jason have been married since 2004. They now have a complete family, including three beautiful, amazing daughters that are 11, 3 & 2. Adra is currently pursuing an elementary teaching certificate from WKU while she serves as our Children’s Ministry Director in our Waverly Woods and UpStreet environments.
