Forgiveness Part 2: Self
The final teaching in our ‘Everybody Hurts’ series focuses, again, on the theme of forgiveness. In order to forgive others we must first come to terms with–and forgive–ourselves. Using the ‘Great Commandment’ of loving God and loving our neighbor as ourselves, Josh invites us to think about how God sees us and accepts us, and in turn, how we should make that reality foundational to our identity.

Hurt By Religion
As we continue our Everybody Hurts series, we focus this week on our identity. Sometimes our pain can come to define us. We begin to believe tomorrow is just an endless repetition of today. Using two examples from the Bible–Moses and Simon Peter–Josh invites us to imagine that there is more of our story to be written, and that tomorrow can be a brand new day.
Being Honest About Our Pain
This week Josh begins a new series called ‘Everybody Hurts’. This series will focus on the hurt, pain, and suffering that we all experience in life, and the hope that none of those things will have the final word. In this introductory teaching we look at the life story of a man named Joseph. One of the key things we learn from Joseph is that in the midst of suffering we still have choices to make. As you listen, reflect on this question: What will I choose?
